Central U.S. Business Team – IHPUSA (Hempcrete Division)

The Central U.S. Business Team serves as the logistical backbone and agricultural engine of IHPUSA’s hempcrete operations. Strategically located in America’s heartland, this team capitalizes on the region’s vast agricultural resources, land availability, and cost-effective logistics network to support the full lifecycle of hempcrete—from hemp cultivation to material distribution.

Key functions and focus areas include:

    Hollis Ellis

    PRESIDENT | CEO

    Hollis D. Ellis has more than 25 years of experience in the civil engineering, site planning and analysis, and development arena. His experience ranges designing small urban redevelopment projects to large scale residential, commercial, and industrial subdivision design.

    In conjunction with design projects, he has also planned many of these design projects and carried them from concept to fruition. These projects would include various housing, retail, office, marina, and golf course projects. He also has experience in designing on-site wastewater treatment facilities for residential and commercial uses. In addition to engineering and site planning,

    Mr. Ellis also has been instrumental in developing residential properties ranging from single family properties to full subdivisions. This would include the rehabilitation of these single family residences to participating in and preparing developer packages for real estate investment projects Mr.Ellis received his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University and his Master’s of Management from Troy State University and is licensed in the states of VA, NC, SC, and MD.

    Danilo Cortado

    Danilo S.D. Cortado and his team of experts in Architecture, Design, Engineering, Mixed-Use Development and Construction Management with over 40 years experience behind him. Mr. Cortado who resides in Virginia Beach, VA, has owned and/or project managed several companies in the last 12 years concerning Mixed-Use Development and Master Planning. Mr. Cortado has provided over 35 years of professional project management expertise to increase asset value by successful architectural design, design built, construction management and development along and for the department of defense, NAVFAC, NEXCOM, commercial, institutional, and municipal projects. 

    Mr. Cortado is a graduate with a Bachelor’s in School of Architecture on an accredited 5 year program at Hampton University 1990. Now during this period Mr. Cortado was awarded the “The Anthony Johns Award“ for excellence in Architectural Design in third year design studio. Mr.Cortado has a plethora of projects of which he was the project manager, design built and construction management on these projects. His greatest accomplishments to date was the completions of design built projects in record time of which the Lake Wright Hotel and Conference an 250,000 S.F facility was done in 12 months, the ECPI School of Technology 60,000 S.F. facility was done in 5 months and the Lockheed Technology Building 30,000 S.F. facility was done in 3 months were all turn key facilities from start to finish. Mr. Cortado also has 2  years prototype experience growing CBD buds plus hempfiber both growing indoor and outdoor for IHPUSA. Plus IHPUSA are line up for two potential 30,000 sf commercial warehouses each having precast and hempcrete facilities in Oakbrook Park , Chesapeake VA set to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2025.

    Davis Rogers

    R&D DIVISION | INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

    Mr. Davis Rogers, Jr. M.S.M.E. has more than 21 years as a Class A Builder with a BLD classification. He has more than 30 years of experience in the mechanical engineering discipline for site planning and analysis, house planning and development projects.

    His experience ranges from bidding on small urban redevelopment projects with the City of Norfolk NRHA to large scale residential, commercial, and industrial subdivision designs. In conjunction with design projects, heå has also planned many of these design projects and carried them from concept to fruition in the City of Chesapeake for SDMP needs. These projects would include various å housing, Section 3 Housing, HUD Home projects, Remodeling to demolition and site development.

    He also is designing a Hemp Block Load bearing system to be used for both residential and commercial wall solutions currently being established as an alternative building material in the state of TX. In addition to engineering, Davis is an IT enthusiast who utilizes the stack of Python and SQL language with the FLASK library to establish estimating solutions for multi-million dollar projects which is vital for developer packages in the real estate investment market. Mr. Davis Rogers, Jr. M.S.M.E. has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering ’92 with an emphasis in Structural Mechanics and Vibrational Analysis. His Bachelor’s in ‘90 is also in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and State University.

    With over seven years of hands-on cultivation experience, Mashá Britnee Davis is an emerging grower with a passion for blending traditional horticulture with modern cannabis cultivation. Specializing in indoor growing, she expertly navigates both organic soil and hydroponic methods—approaching each grow with a deep respect for the science, patience, and intuition the craft demands.

    Mashá is currently apprenticing under Maurice Morrison, a revered master grower on the East Coast with more than a decade of expertise. Learning directly from such a respected mentor is both an honor and a powerful stepping stone on her journey to becoming a Master Grower herself.

    In addition to her fieldwork, Mashá is pursuing a degree in Horticulture, expanding her knowledge of plant biology and honing her ability to cultivate everything from culinary herbs and vegetables to premium-grade cannabis. Her mission is to build a life rooted in sustainability, healing, and growth—plant by plant, strain by strain.

    Miss Tiana Williams is a Graduate from Lakeland University in Sheboygan, WI with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Sociology. After College using skills acquired in notorious outdoor activities directed to the triangle ranch summer camp for the YMCA in Arizona. Upon returning back to Wisconsin Miss Tiana explored her love of  traveling with setup events as a  marketing coordinator for shore trips and Edelweiss cruises and boat tours.

    In 2004 Miss Tiana moved to  Las Vegas, NV where she  began working as an underwriter and credit manager for Wells Fargo Financial. Her marketing career also led her to several avenues in the Hospitality industry as a food and beverage manager, frontdesk and concierge manager servicing many guests marketing and selling adventures to Las  Vegas guests working B2B with pink jeep tours, greyline, maverick helicopters, wedding chapels, limousine companies  and much more. As a brand ambassador for forte marketing she also works in distributing  and with the beverages companies,etc. 

    Miss Tiana passion for helping families find their dream home has been her motivation and passion for real estate and property management as well.  Currently she is working with IHPUSA, Inc team in  the marketing and sales department for  the West coast division.
